Benjamin A. Breier is a Partner at Partners Group, one of the largest private equity platforms in the world with over $130 billion in assets under management and 250,000 portfolio company employees. Mr. Breier is Head of Health and Life Sciences for Partners Group in the United States. He joined the firm in June 2022 after a highly successful role leading one of the nation’s largest healthcare services companies. Breier is the former Chief Executive Officer of Kindred Healthcare, LLC. In 2021, LifePoint Health acquired Kindred. In 2018, Mr. Breier led a consortium of buyers, including Humana, TPG Capital and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in a successful leveraged buyout of previously publicly traded Kindred Healthcare (NYSE:KND). Acquiring and integrating publicly traded RehabCare in 2011 made Kindred the largest rehabilitation provider in the United States. Acquiring and integrating Gentiva Health Services in 2015 made Kindred the largest provider of Home Health and Hospice in the country. In 2020, Kindred completed the sale of its RehabCare business to Select Rehabilitation, solidifying the Company’s position as a leading provider of hospital-level acute care. Mr. Breier received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He received both an MBA and an MHA from the University of Miami (Florida). Mr. Breier has served on the boards of Kindred, the Federation of American Hospitals, InnovaCare Health. In his role with Partners Group, Mr. Breier serves on the boards of Forefront Dermatology and Axia Women’s Health. Mr. Breier is the author of the recently released book, “Intentional Disruption”, published by Forbes in January, 2022.
