Deborah DiSanzo

President, IBM Watson Health

Deborah DiSanzo is the global General Manager for IBM Watson Health, the business unit founded to achieve IBMs next ‘moonshot’: to advance health at a global scale. Ms. DiSanzo leads a team of 7,000 employees around the world, ranging from medical experts to health economists to data scientists, UX experts and developers. Under her leadership, Watson Health has secured relationships with more than 80 top collaborators, partners and clients across healthcare and life sciences. Watson Health’s ecosystem leads the industry in its breadth and depth, including work with Apple, J&J, Medtronic, TEVA Pharmaceuticals, Celgene Corporation, and Siemens Healthineers as well as leading academic and community providers around the globe such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Cleveland Clinic, and Mayo Clinic.

Ms. DiSanzo has a distinguished career working at the intersection of healthcare and technology. Prior to joining IBM, she served as CEO of Philips Healthcare, a $10B company providing technology in healthcare informatics, patient monitoring and patient analytics, home healthcare, imaging systems, and healthcare consulting. Earlier in her career she held executive and management positions at Hewlett-Packard and Apollo Computer. Ms. DiSanzo addresses organizations such as Harvard Business School, Bloomberg, Women in Big Data, McKinsey, and Forbes on crucial issues such as the rising incidence of chronic health conditions, an aging global population, health care provider shortages, escalating healthcare costs, the future of healthcare, and leadership. Ms. DiSanzo earned an MBA from Babson College and a B.S. from Merrimack College. Ms. DiSanzo was inducted into the Babson Alumni Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, and received Babson’s Founder’s Day Award for Entrepreneurship.
