Drew Rector

As Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer for Health First, Drew Rector leads the System’s Executive Leadership team in the development of the strategic plan for Health First and for each entity within the organization. Mr. Rector is responsible for the strategic construction of the Integrated Delivery Network, and also leads Health First’s customer interfaces, product development, sales, brand positioning, service lines, IT and analytics, as well as external partnerships. Mr. Rector has been in his current role with the Company since 2012.

Health First has been serving the residents of the Brevard County, Florida area since it was founded in 1995, with roots extending back to 1937 when Holmes Regional Medical Center opened as the first hospital in the County. Today, Health First is comprised of four not-for- profit hospitals: Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Palm Bay Hospital in Palm Bay, and Viera Hospital, which opened in Viera April 2011.

Prior to joining Health First, Mr. Rector most recently served as a Hospital President and Orthopedic Service Line Executive at SSM Health Care headquartered in St. Louis, MO. He has extensive service line development and operational experience, as well as successful development of physician alliances. He previously worked for HCA as a Corporate VP of Cardiovascular Services in Florida. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of OrthoCarolina, an 85-physician group practice in North Carolina.

After receiving an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Rector attended the University of South Florida where he earned his Master’s of Business degree.
