Jeff Arnold is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sharecare, a leading health and wellness social network he and Dr. Mehmet Oz launched in October 2010 in partnership with Harpo Studios, Sony Pictures Television and Discovery Communications. Sharecare helps people to live a healthier life by intelligently connecting them to personalized resources including high-quality information from leading experts, interactive tools to actively manage their health and local healthcare providers. Previously, Mr.Arnold was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HowStuffWorks.com, an award-winning, online resource for millions of people each month, which he sold in 2007 for $250 million to Discovery Communications, where he served as Chief Executive Officer of HowStuffWorks and Chief Digital Strategy Officer for Discovery until 2010 and continues to serve as Chairman Emeritus of HowStuffWorks.com. Prior to HowStuffWorks.com, he founded and served as CEO of WebMD Corporation, the first healthcare company to harness the power of the Internet to create a destination for consumers, healthcare institutions and physicians to find trustworthy medical information. Before founding WebMD, Mr. Arnold started Quality Diagnostic Services (QDS), which he grew into a leading cardiac arrhythmia monitoring company, ultimately selling the company to Matria Healthcare in 1998.
