Jonathan Bush is the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Athenahealth. Mr. Bush co-founded athenahealth, Inc. in 1997 and has been a director since it’s inception. Athenahealth was originally founded as a women’s health practice management company has emerged as the leading provider of on-demand business services to medical groups and operates the largest national physician network in the United States, helping to bring process integrity to the delivery and payment of medical care. Jonathan and his company have been profiled in Fortune Magazine, Fast Company, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Red Herring and BusinessWeek as well as regularly appearing on national broadcast outlets like CNBC and Fox News. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Bush served as an EMT for the City of New Orleans, was trained as a medic in the U.S. Army, and worked as a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton. Mr. Bush obtained a Bachelor of Arts in the College of Social Studies from Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the Harvard Medical School Board of Fellows.
