Mike Pykosz is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Oak Street Health, LLC. Mr. Pykosz has led Oak Street since co-founding the company in 2012. Prior to founding Oak Street, Mr. Pykosz was a core member of the Payers and Providers practice at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At Oak Street Mr. Pykosz has worked to combine risk based contracting with a clinical model built from the ground up to invest in primary care and lower unnecessary utilization. He has developed a community outreach strategy to engage low income older adults. Once patients are engaged, Oak Street integrates population health analytics, social support services, chronic care management and primary care into their care model to drive improved outcomes and lower downstream utilization. Oak Street Health currently operates 15 clinics in Chicagoland and Indianapolis. While at BCG, Mr. Pykosz led over 40 projects focused on marketing to and caring for the Medicare population, including marketing and customer experience strategies for older adults, developing telephonic and home based chronic care models, and designing provider engagement approaches. Mr.Pykosz is the co-author of a paper on the impact of payer and provider models on Medicare beneficiaries. Mr. Pykosz holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BS in biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame.
